Reducing their reliance on finite fossil fuels means lowering their carbon emissions, and carbon footprint, as well as reducing their energy bills, and demonstrating the benefits of renewable energy to their clients.
Ballyjamesduff credit union wanted to lead the way in their community by installing renewable energy technologies. They wanted to showcase how this technology can lower energy bills and demonstrate directly how renewable energy can create a sustainable future for all in Ireland.

Hybrid Energy Group installed the following:
- 16 panels, 7kW Solar PV System with Huaweii Inverter
This business now generates its own electricity via the 7kW solar PV system.
- 7W Solar PV System will generate approximately 5,249kWh of energy per annum.
- The energy generated via the solar panels will be used to power lighting and electronic equipment primarily.
- Approximately €1,005 annual energy savings
- Approximately 2,987kg of carbon saved annually
- 25 years product warranty, 30 years performance warranty

Ballyjamesduff credit union are proactively showing their customers how they can transform their energy efficiency with renewable energy, showcasing to their community how they can save big generating their own solar energy. Their next step will be looking at heat pumps and additional solar panels if necessary.
