Complete Retrofit with Electric Ireland, Dundalk, Co Louth

We were delighted to partner with Electric Ireland, Super Homes in Dundalk, co. Louth. This home was receiving a complete retrofit, going from a D3 energy rating to an A2. 

We completed various measures in the home within 6 working days, all with minimum disruption to the occupants.

Hybrid Energy Group Ltd worked as a sub contractor for Electric Ireland Super Homes on this complete home energy upgrade project. 

This D rated home was cold, damp, with high energy bills and high carbon output. The homeowners wanted to:

  • Save on their energy bills
  • Create a warm and comfortable home year round
  • Reduce their carbon footprint
  • Increase the rating of the house

To meet the needs of this home, we installed of this retrofit project we installed:

  • 6 Trina Solar Panel, 2.2KW system. The Trina Solar panels are a Tier 1 product and perfectly fit the needs of this property and inhabitants. 
  • Full heating upgrade replacing the existing oil boiler with our Mitsubishi Electric EcoDan Heat Pump and Cylinder
  • Radiator replacement throughout the home
  • Mechanical Ventilation Unit

New windows and doors, as well as attic and wall insulation were installed also to complete the upgrade.

  • Reduce their energy bills overall
  • Power generated by the solar panels will power the heat pump, and provide hot water
  • Increase the buildings BER rating to an A-Rated home and increase property value
