5 Steps To Upgrade Your Homes Energy Efficiency

As summer approaches, you may not be thinking of upgrading your homes energy efficiency, but now is the perfect time to get the project completed with grant funding, all in time for winter.

• Contact us for a free consultation

When you contact us we will set up an initial phone consultation to assess your homes current energy rating, the needs of your home and inhabitants, your budget, assessments needed,  grant application criteria, and availability.

•  Home survey, design plan & energy assessments

Once you are happy to proceed, we will then help you arrange an energy assessment with an approved BER assessor, which is needed to apply for all SEAI grants. Alongside this, we will work with your energy assessor to survey the suitability of the home for renewable energy technologies, such as a heat pump or solar pv. We will then create a design plan for the installation of your renewable energy technology of choice, alongside a full no-obligation quotation.

• Grant application

As an approved SEAI installer we will assist you with all home energy grant application paperwork. We work on individual measure grants for SEAI, which include solar pv grants of up to €2,400, and heat pump grants up to €6,500, depending on house type. If you would like additional measures such as insulation, windows and doors, we will work with our network of SEAI one stop shops, and get you a whole-home grant based on your home reaching a B2 minimum energy rating upon completion.

• Works commence

Once SEAI give grant approval for energy measures, we will schedule in a date that suits you. Depending on measure, scale of home, and installation type, we will only take a few days to complete works, and will provide you with a full support package complete with technical backup, user guidance and service plan. 

• Post works assessment and grant amount paid

Once works are complete you must get a post BER rating for qualification from SEAI. Once this is complete and we upload to them on your behalf, you will then receive the full grant funding in your bank account.
