This Cavan County Council development consisted of four new build two-storey houses. This is one of many technologies that can be used as part of the Building Regulations to improve your buildings energy rating.
BUTLERSBRIDGE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
Crosserlough Construction contacted Hybrid Energy Group to supply and install the PV System for them on behalf of Cavan County Council in a housing development in Butlersbridge which was designed by Michael Fitzpatrick Architects in Butlersbridge, Co. Cavan.
Trina Solar was installed as it is a Tier 1 product manufacturer.
We installed 1.6 Kw on each dwelling to offset emissions by generating on site.
By installing this system it gives each house a better BER rating and in the long term leaves it easier on the pocket to run. Each system will produce up to 1350 kWh per annum and will do this or at least 25 years with no maintenance.
Average annual savings:
Approximately 300.00 euro savings on electricity per year
Energy Generated:
1350 units of power per annum
System Size:
1.6 kW Trina PV Panel
Micheal Smith from Hybrid Energy Group Ltd said, ” When looking to integrate Solar PV technology into the project, we wanted to be able to provide energy solutions and increase the BER rating of all these dwellings. After Michael Fitzpatricks design team produced an in-depth analysis, it was clear that Solar PV Panels would be the far superior choice, particularly in terms of performance.
The job was completed by Hybrid Energy Group Ltd, PV Accredited Installer.
