Erne Motor Works, Toyota, Cavan began their journey with renewable energy solutions with 144 solar panels. Increasing their energy efficiency, reducing their carbon footprint, while educating their customers and employees.

Erne Motor Works wanted to lead the way and do their part for the community and environment by installing renewable energy technologies. They wanted to showcase how this technology can lower energy bills and demonstrate directly how renewable energy can create a sustainable future for buildings in Ireland.

Hybrid Energy Group installed the following: 

  • 144 panel Solar PV System- 60kW Trina Solar System, 50kW Huaweii Inverter

 

This business now generates its own electricity via the 14.96kW solar PV system. 

  • 60W Solar PV System will generate approximately 45,700kWh of energy per annum. 
  • The energy generated via the solar panels will be used to power lighting and electronic equipment primarily.
  • Approximately €10,050 annual energy savings
  • Approximately 24,500 kg of carbon saved annually
  • Reduced Carbon Footprint with this sustainable carbon-free energy solution

Erne Motor Works are spearheading the movement to renewable energy, showcasing to their customers and community how they can save big generating their own solar energy. Their next step will be looking at heat pumps and additional solar panels if necessary.
