Hybrid Energy Group 2023 Review
2023 was another successful year for Hybrid Energy Group, and one where we saw a massive increase in interest in renewable energy technologies, and a proud year to be shortlisted for two awards, and winning renewable energy company of the year with the Business All-Stars 2023.
We had so many highlights and accomplishments as a company, and we wanted to share them with you.
Grant Funding increases
This year we saw grant funding increasing for farms with the TAMS 3 grant offering a 60% grant off total cost of Solar PV installation, up to €90,000, on systems up to 62kW. The grant closed in June, however, we expect it to reopen in 2024, so please stay tuned to our socials and website.
0% VAT on Solar PV systems for homes was introduced this year, which saw a huge boost to home installations, and now from January 2024, all schools can avail of 0% VAT also.
Commercial Solar PV grants increased also, with grant offering up to €162,600, on systems up to 1MW.
Huge growth across Ireland
This year saw us work on Solar PV projects every day across Ireland, with new build and retrofit homes and businesses installing solar panels. We worked on 250 housing units, 58 retrofit projects, and 62 new build units. Here we installed solar panels, underfloor heating and plumbing services, heat pump installation, mechanical ventilation installation, EV chargers and more.
Renewable Energy Solutions increased by 56%
We completed 110 solar PV system installations, and 101 heat pump installations this year, as well as 51 mechanical ventilation systems. We are thrilled to increase the installation of renewable energy technologies as we are reducing energy consumption drastically in businesses and homes across Ireland, as well as significantly lowering the carbon emissions into the atmosphere.
More events for Hybrid Energy Group
We held three renewable energy information days in Cavan town this year, rain or shine, we met the locals and explained the long list of benefits of renewable energy. We participated in a Dragons Den panel in Ardscoil Phádraig, Granard, and held our own renewable energy event in the Hotel Kilmore in late May. Our event was hugely successful with a full house of eager customers hearing from ourselves, Cavan Credit Union, Electric Ireland, SEAI, and Sligo, Leitrim Retrofit.
We exhibited at the Virginia Show this August, where we had a great day discussing renewable energy with everyone.
We exhibited and presented at Cavan Credit Union twice this year, speaking to customers of the credit union on how they can invest in their homes. We also spoke to the Cavan GAA board on the grants available for clubs and much more.
Awards
For the third year running, we won the renewable energy company of the year award for 2023 at the all star business awards in Dublin. Another year recognised for our commitment to our customers and the environment.
We were also shortlisted for the Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing category at the Guaranteed irish Awards, a great day for all, and wonderful to meet Ryan Tubridy.
December 2023, saw us shortlisted for the Innovation & Resilience Award at the 2023 Cavan Business and Tourism Awards. Another great feat to be recognised locally, and nationally.
We successfully gained ISO 9001 (Quality Management) certification for another year, and strive towards more in 2024.
New Staff and Partnerships
We welcomed five new staff members to our team this year in front office, project management, plumbers, and electricians. We are always growing our business, and hope to recruit more plumbers in 2024.
We developed our partnership with Credit Union Plus, by hosting events together, information videos and social posts, as well as offering an exclusive package deal for all credit union customers, where you will receive a value pack worth over €500 with your Solar PV System. This includes a free 2 year service package, 2 year’s of remote quarterly system checks and a free smart app for energy checks.
