TEXACO FILLING STATION, BALLINAGH ROAD, CO. CAVAN

Texaco Filling Station, Ballinagh Road, Cavan is a very busy filling station just outside Cavan town.

We were asked out to give a consultation on how they would be able to save money on their electricity bills and reduce their carbon footprint.

On a 3 Phase system the maximum amount of PV that the ESB will allow you to connect is 11kw without having to put on G10 relay.

Under SEAI Better Energy Community Texaco was able to receive a 30% Grant to do the PV System and replace existing old lighting fixtures to new LED lighting fixtures.

Trina Solar was installed as it is a Tier 1 product manufacturer.

We installed 11kw on the roof of the filling station to offset emissions by generating on site.

This PV installation will offset approximately 10,000 kwh of electricity per annum and will do this for at least 25 years with no maintenance.

The LED Lighting has reduced Texaco lighting bills by 60% per annum.

Average annual savings:

Approximately €1500.00 savings on electricity per year

Energy Generated:

10,000 units of power per annum

System Size:

11kw Trina PV Panel with Fronius Symo Inverter
